Extended Care

Extended Care is being led by Mrs. Francis our Second Grade Teacher. She is very excited to be working with the Extended Care program.

There have been a few changes to the Extended Care program including:

Location - Extended Care will now be located in room 112. This is on the first floor and is the second door on the right of the hallway.
Time - The times for Extended Care are from 7:00 a.m. to 8:10 a.m. and 3:25 p.m to 6:00 p.m.
There is no Extended Care offered during the school day. The Extended Care program will be offered on in-services dates and conference dates but not on school holidays.
Sign-In/Sign-Out - The instructor will take roll call in the beginning of the day and will mark everyone that is present. Towards the end of the day please let one of the instructors know you are picking up a child and they will mark off the children on the check out sheet.

Please also remember to fill out a form to allow other people to pick up your child from extended care. The from can be completed at the start of the year with a list of people who are allowed to pick a child.

Extended Care Goals:

To provide a safe environment for students before and after school hours.
To provide fun and interesting activities in a Catholic-Christian setting.
To provide children freedom of choice in a creative, stimulating environment.
To provide quiet space when needed for studying.
To provide an atmosphere that promotes cooperation and appropriate interaction among persons of all ages.

***PLEASE make sure your child's backpack and jacket are labeled since we do not have individual cubbies for each student's belongings. This will hopefully eliminate items going home with the wrong family after school. THANKS!

Extended Care will be available on the following days when the school is open but classes are not being held:

Monday, October 11
Thursday, October 21
Friday, October 22
Thursday, February 24
Friday, February 25

Fees - Extended Care fees are as follows:

$8 for each morning session
$60 a week for afternoon sessions or $15 a day

Extended Care ends at 6:00 p.m. Parents who pick up students after this time will be charged $1.00 per minute overtime.
